From harvesting and retting to hand-spinning and weaving on a traditional backstrap loom, this pure Himalayan hemp fabric is created through a deeply time-intensive process rooted in ancestral knowledge.
Each roll is produced by artisans in remote villages of Nepal. As a result, natural variations in width, length, weave density, and shade are to be expected — and are embraced as part of the material’s character. At h2ol, we carefully curate only high-quality rolls that express the true beauty of this ancient fibre.
Naturally strong, breathable, and fully biodegradable, Himalayan hemp has a quietly rugged presence. Its rustic texture and durability make it well suited for home interiors, bags, accessories, wall hangings, and tapestry or textile art.

🪡 For Designers & Artists
Because the hemp fibres are hand-spun and woven by hand, variations in yarn thickness, weave density, and width are inherent to the material. These qualities give the fabric a raw, expressive character that works especially well in large-scale textile work, spatial installations, and functional art.
Recommended uses:
- Wall hangings and tapestry work
- Textile-based installations and sculptural pieces
- Bags, belts, and accessories requiring strength
- Interior elements such as runners, panels, or room accents
