Haoshow – the Haori Shawl

A beautiful, versatile piece designed to wrap you in natural warmth and quiet elegance.

Our newly woven SHINRA NANASAI – 森羅七彩 – SHAWL is a celebration of nature, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.

Each one-of-a-kind piece is handwoven in Nepal by a master artisan with over 40 years of experience.
The silk threads are step-dyed by hand using traditional natural dyes with medicinal properties, bringing to life seven natural shades – from warm madder orange to calming indigo, all gently balanced by the soft tone of undyed hemp silk.

The soft colour transitions reflect Shinra Nanasai, meaning “the colours of life within nature” – a poetic concept that speaks of harmony and vitality.
More than just something to wear, Haoshow is something to experience.

The Spirit of the Artisan

Every Haoshow shawl carries the passion and dedication of skilled weavers who pour their heart into each piece.
Working in a small dyeing and weaving workshop nestled in Nepal, they carefully blend tradition with innovation, creating something truly unique. Their hands tell stories through the fabric – stories of resilience, skill, and a deep respect for nature.

Style it like a haori or wear it as a statement shawl – either way, Haoshow wraps you in grace and the quiet joy of handmade craft.

🪶 A Story from the Creator

From the very beginning, I was closely involved in every stage of this shawl’s creation —each step filled with wonder, patience, and discovery.
When I first dyed the silk with Maharangi, I expected a rich purple but found a soft, smoky grey instead —a colour I hadn’t imagined, yet one that felt unexpectedly refined. Still, my heart longed for a deeper hue,and through a blend of lac and indigo, the true purple finally emerged —a moment that felt like a small miracle.
This shawl was born through curiosity, challenge, and joy —all woven together in a humble workshop in Nepal.
When it arrived after months of anticipation, I held it in my hands and felt it breathe. I named it Shinra Nanasai – 七彩 (Seven Hues), from Shinra Banshou – 森羅万象, meaning “everything in the universe.”It represents the harmony of nature’s colours —each one flowing into the next like life itself.

Only 26 pieces exist, each one unique, each carrying its own rhythm of colour and light. As a small token, each shawl comes with a handwoven Tenugui scarf made from the remaining yarns — a quiet continuation of the same thread of life. I hope you’ll walk with them, and that they’ll accompany you through many seasons.— Hiromi 🌿
