These ceramic coffee filters are handcrafted at Thimi Ceramics, a family-run pottery workshop in Nepal. We've had the pleasure of visiting their workshop on several occasions, and each time we've been warmly welcomed and guided through every step of their earthenware process — from mixing the clay, forming and glazing, to firing in the kiln.
The filter holder rests directly on your favourite coffee cup or jug, supporting a filter that holds your chosen ground coffee. The small size fits cups with an inner diameter between 7–9 cm, while the large size fits 7–10 cm. A reusable hemp filter is included.
As each ceramic filter is individually handmade, slight variations in glaze and detail may occur — part of the charm of artisanal craft.
